Green Remodeling with Team CHE!
What is Green Remodeling?
- Energy efficient improvements such as high levels of insulation, efficient HVAC systems, high-performance windows, insulated doors , exterior insulation under all exterior cladding and energy-efficient appliances and lighting
- Water conservation improvements such as water-efficient appliances and fixtures, filtration systems, drought resistant, low-maintenance landscaping, rain catching gutter systems and so much more
- Resource conservation using materials and techniques such as engineered wood and wood alternatives, recycled building materials, sustainably harvested lumber, and more durable products
- Indoor environmental quality considerations such as effective HVAC equipment, formaldehyde-free finishes, low-allergen materials, and products with minimum off-gassing or low volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Example just knowing what types of carpet emit no harmful bi-products into the air
- Site design planning such facing structures in such a way that can help harvest the Sun's energy instead of fighting it or minimizing disruption and preserving open space
- Homeowner education through training , energy audit consolations manuals and operating guides
- Green business practices that adopt ideas from other industries for saving resources and money in the home office
Team CHE is committed to Green Living
Team CHE does everything we can to help you reduce your carbon footprint as well as our own. Let our dedicated Team of experts apply the Green Philosophy to your remodeling needs.
TEAM CHE's Green Building Package
- We use certified lumber, arsenic-free material, recycled and engineered lumber, composite decking, metal roofing, and Icynene insulation.
- All debris (except asphalt roofing) generated from the project is sorted through for recyclable material.
- We install energy efficient heating systems, like radiant in-floor heating, hybrid baseboard radiators, and energy re-capturing systems.
- Advanced framing techniques mean we consume less lumber. Better insulation methods means that you need less energy to heat and cool your home.
- Our entire staff believes in thinking green. Not only because it is the right thing to do, but we understand that it is a long term benefit to our community and our environment.
