My name is Stephen Scoggins, and I am the owner and president of Custom Home Exteriors and CHE Home Renovations. For more than a decade, Team CHE has made it our mission to provide quality, excellence, and integrity to each of our customers. These values are vital to us because they are the foundation on which the company was built and the heart and soul of all that we do today.
As a fourth-generation construction builder, I am thankful to my father and grandfather for giving me a strong foundation of knowledge and craftsmenship skills starting when I was very young. By the age of 12, I was able to read blueprints on my own and when I was only 16, I was running residential home framing crews for a major construction company. Through this leadership and construction experience, I gained the desire and confidence to one day have my own company. The dream of Custom Home Exteriors was born!
Six years later while living in a single-wide trailer, I started the company with nothing more than a tool belt. I remodeled my first four homes in a down market and completed them without any assistance in order to save money for the tools and equipment I would later need to grow my new venture. Each time I put on that tool belt, I was working toward and driven by the vision of what CHE is today.
From this humble start, I learned the importance of hard work and the core values that have helped Custom Home Exteriors become one of the most active and successful renovation companies on the East Coast.
Team CHE is comprised of more than 150 individuals, and our expert craftsmen, skilled managers and dedicated staff members are committed to providing excellence for each one of our customers. The work our company performs is known for being efficient, reliable, professional and just as importantly, competitively priced. Because of our reputation, we have earned the status of a preferred contractor for many of the state's major builders. We now have contracts for a large portion of the new construction in central North Carolina, starting and completing more than 50 projects every week.
While our acheivements as a company are a product of hard work and dedication, we attribute our success to our customers. Without their satisfaction and loyalty, the milestones we've reached would not have been possible and because of this, CHE places the utmost priority on customer service. We take pride that our staff never takes short cuts, we keep our promises and should a problem arise, we attack it offering immediate solutions and only relenting when the issue is solved. Because of these principles, we've been able to assure every customer we do business with a positive experience, and we are very proud of our A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. In nearly two decades of operation, we have never had a complaint filed.
