The Process is Your Protection

“Good; Better; Best. Never Let It Rest.  Until Your Good Is Better And Your Better Is Best.”

A Consistent, Reliable Process Developed Over 20+ Years – The elements to our secret sauce is the process that allows us to treat you how we want to be treated.

The greatest reason projects can go horribly wrong, adding days, weeks, or even months of frustration, is because there is not a well-thought-out framework in place for everyone to follow when completing the project.  It’s important for everyone involved in the project, as well as the homeowner, to have a clear vision of the process and framework with timelines for completion of various aspects of the project.  This timeline should be up to date and all members involved should be notified to avoid confusion and frustration.

At CHE, we know that making your project a success is achieved through a three pronged approach consisting of:

1. Our People
2. Our Products
3. Our Process

All three of these areas are crucial to success at all times.   Others may focus on the product or even having some talented staff; but when the process is missing, the person feeling the pain and frustration in the end is  the homeowner.  We don’t want that – we see things differently and realize how important it is to follow through with the homeowner through completion of the project and beyond, to ensure complete satisfaction.  Over the last several decades, we have crafted, honed, and continually shaped a process that delivers proven results, time after time.

Step 1. Connection: Our process begins with our first contact with you – from the first email, call, or site visit you will experience focused attention and a sincere desire to want to get to know you, your needs, and your expectations. We’ll ask a ton of questions and listen carefully to your answers in order to help us guide you in shaping your vision, based on your expressed desires and budget.

Step 2. Detailed Home Assessment: We will arrive on time and with the appropriate tools to do a full and complete assessment of your wants, needs, and outcomes you most desire. We’ll go through several items, products, and strategies to help you get the most out of your investment.  We’ll take the Information we collect during this assessment, organize it, and shape it in order to offer you a very detailed road map to your home project success, through the development of your Estimate & Proposal.

Step 3. Estimate & Proposal: Your proposal will include a detailed and itemized quote good for 30 days along with your custom design sheet, specification sheet, and project scopes. You NEED to understand what goes into your project and how your money is being invested.  If you don’t have a clear understanding, then you could end up overpaying in the end.  Remodeling your home is far different than going to the grocery store and requires a comprehensive outline of products, scopes, specifications, and quoting just to make sure your manufacturer warranties are valid.

Step 4. Design & Project Staging: This part of the process seems to be the most exciting as you will work with your CHE representative and our state of the art design software, idea books, pictures, samples and see your home completed before we ever remove the first piece of material. You will have an opportunity to select the best materials, colors, and textures that will enhance the design and curb appeal of your home. Then, our team will begin the job staging process.

Step 5. Pre-Construction Meeting: Our goal is for you to know what to expect and when.  Upon completion of your design selections and job staging, we will schedule a formal time and date for you to meet your personal construction manager. Then you, your home advisor, and construction manager will go through every known element of your project including job specifications, products, selections, locations, timelines, dumpsters, portable toilets and more. The Pre-Construction meeting is to ensure we are all on the same page, answer questions and set the expectations to reduce any chance for poor communication and frustrations.

Step 6. Project Installations: Your project installations will follow up the timelines, specifications, selections, and most importantly manufacturer’s guidelines. Your products must follow the manufacturer’s best practices for your products to be fully warrantied. Most companies won’t tell you that because they cut corners. We don’t cut corners. We treat people how we want to be treated and will make sure your warranties are fully intact.

Step 7. Clean Up & Completion: Your home needs to be beautiful, and we will leave your home better than we found it. It’s simple — it’s your home, and it needs to be a place of family and peace. We’ll clean up every piece of debris and leave your home neat, orderly and in broom swept conditions.

Step 8. Project Closeout: Once we’ve completed and cleaned up we’ll do one final walk through, looking for anything that may have somehow missed our mutual attention. If we find anything, we will simply address it. We use the manufacturer’s and local codes as our rule book and will never go against them; this way we’re all protected from any confusion or misunderstanding. Our goal is to have you join our family as a Raving Fan. We sure take pride in our work, and we want to make sure you feel the same. We’ll then give you a formal package with all of your warranties and connect you with our customer care team in case you ever have a warranty or service need.

Step 9. Optional Party: Occasionally we will fire up the grill and throw you and your friends a small private block party to come to see the transformation of your home. This way you can show off your new Custom Home Exterior, and we can help you celebrate — again, you are part of our family now!

We’ll be here long after the job is complete and your source for any exterior services you or your family and friends need in the future. We’re here to answer questions and support you now or in the future.
